XOX Group - Snack und Gebäck seit 1908 (2024)

The company XOX began in 1908 as a biscuit factory "Hollandia" and was renamed in 1930 in "XOX biscuit factory GmbH". The company name XOX is based on the representation of two windmill blades and a cereal grain in the middle.Between 1970 and 1989 XOX was sold and taken over by various companies. Only when in 1998, Edmund E. Besecke took over the company, the breakthrough of the brand succeeded.

1908-1998

The brand XOX was "brought back to life" by Edmund E. Besecke. He bought the brand and moved the head office to Hameln at the Weser. There he starts the pure distribution of salty snacks under the name XOX Gebäck GmbH with 3 employees. With the support of partner companies, the first 5 products are brought to the market. The assortment quickly increases to 20 snack products. The XOX warehouse is located in southern Germany, from where all customers are served.

1998

The production from the Netherlands is relocated to Hameln. In addition, the warehouse in southern Germany is dissolved and XOX begins the construction of a central production and storage in Hameln with 30 employees.

2005

Our brand XOX celebrates its 100th anniversary with a team of 60 employees. Our assortment now comprises a total of approx. 80 products, 60% of which are manufactured in-house.

2008

Stefan Hund, Managing Director in Marketing and Sales, joins the company.

2011

There are now 100 products under our brand. 80% of them are produced at our site in Hameln.

2012

This year, we can celebrate our 15th anniversary at our head office in Hameln. We combine tradition with innovation and we are an important partner in the market for salty snacks.

2013

Stefan Hund joins the owner Edmund E. Besecke as managing partner.

2014

Our production celebrates its 10th anniversary at our site in Hameln. We are growing continuously and are now working in a strong team of 160 employees. In addition, we were able expand our position internationally and are now active in more than 30 countries.

2015

We are breaking ground for our new production hall in Hameln, laying the foundation for further new technologies and the doubling our production capacity.

2016

111 years of XOX! We have been producing snacks which garantie the best snacking fun at any party.Happy Birthday XOX - here's to the next 111 years!

2019

With the opening of a new location in Lauenau in 2021, XOX is setting a new important hub for future distribution network expansion and production expansion.
